I’ve been helping women feel strong, confident, and capable in their bodies for over 30 years.
But like many of you, my own journey didn’t start in a place of confidence.
In fact, it started in a weight room, with zero clue what I was doing, and every insecurity in the world riding shotgun.
Growing up in a household of athletes, playing sports was second nature.
But growing into my 6'2" frame? Not so much.
I cleared 6 feet by 7th grade, and while every girls basketball team wanted me, what no one saw was how uncomfortable I felt in my own skin.
In my early 20s, my friends convinced me to try out for the WNBA.
I’d had my daughter my senior year of high school and skipped the college path, so I knew I had my work cut out for me.Â
I trained hard for a year — conditioning, court time, pick-up games with guys at the local LA Fitness. That part I could handle.
What really pushed me?
My coach sending me into the weight room.
I hated it at first. I felt clumsy. Weak. Exposed.
But over time, everything changed.
As I got physically stronger, I got mentally stronger.
I stood taller — literally and figuratively.
I stopped trying to shrink.
That gym changed everything.
It’s where I found the confidence to own my body, and the path that would later lead to coaching thousands of women across the country.
Fast forward to my 40s, and life threw another curveball.
Even as a coach who “knew what to do,” I started feeling puffy, emotional, and run down. I hit peri-menopause hard.
My joints ached, my sleep tanked, and my old strategies stopped working.
But I didn’t give up - I adjusted.
I changed how I trained, how I recovered, how I fueled, and how I listened to my body.
That season taught me how to ebb and flow instead of all-or-nothing.
How to build strength with less burnout. How to still be exceptional, without having to be perfect.
And how to coach other women through the same transformation.
The fitness industry hasn’t exactly been kind to women over 40.
We’ve been told to shrink, restrict, do more cardio, and that our symptoms are "just a normal part of aging"
I want to give you the gift of understanding how this really works, so you can make it work for you.
And a big part of that is understanding that strength training is the foundation of your longevity.
It’s not just about how you look (it helps that too!) — but also about how well you live.
I created the 40+StrongHER Membership and the 3M Method I teach inside to change the narrative. So you can build muscle, boost energy, support your hormones, and feel powerful in your own body again.
No crash diets.
No more endlessly chasing skinny.
Just a realistic, evidence-based, hormone-smart plan for getting stronger in every sense of the word.
I live in Seattle, WA with my guy and our little (cat) girl, Chloe.
I have a grown daughter, an incredible son-in-law, and amazing grandkids.
When I’m not coaching or training, you’ll usually find me outdoors, sipping sangria, or tracking down a really good taco.
Nutrition-wise? I’m an “everything in moderation” kind of gal.
Because fitness is a lifestyle — not a punishment.
And while coaching is my purpose…
Connection is my love language.
